Josh Meade grew up in Southbury, CT and graduated from Pomperaug High School in 2004.
He Then Attended Western Connecticut State university and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education in 2009.
Directly after graduating with his undergraduate degree, he began both his public school teaching career and his career as a professional musician.
He also started to teach private trumpet/brass/ and piano lessons as well.
Recently, he earned his Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology from Louisiana State University.
Josh Meade currently is the Co-Director of Bands at Bailey Middle School in West Haven, COnnecticut. There he co-directs the 7th grade band, the 8th grade band, jazz band, cmea regionals club, and the bucket band.
Performance Bio
​
While at WCSU he performed with the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Chamber Brass, Jazz Combo, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra and Choir.
He played Lead Trumpet with the WCSU Jazz Orchestra and was able to share the stage with Slide Hampton, Paquito D'Rivera, Dafnis Prieto, and Jeff Hellmer each year at the WCSU Jazz Festival.
Currently, Josh Meade is an in demand performer with pit orchestras, Big bands, and as a Trumpet soloist for church services around the tri state area.
in addition to playing trumpet professionally, Josh Meade has taught private lessons over the past fifteen years.
